⚡We are your Energy Technology Partner. We electrify, automate, and digitalize every industry, business, and home, driving efficiency and sustainability for all. At Schneider Electric, our values – IMPACT (Inclusion, Mastery, Purpose, Action, Curiosity, Teamwork) – are the foundation of everything we do. Becoming an Impact Maker means turning sustainability ambitions into actions at the intersection of automation, electrification, and digitization. Are you ready to lead the digital transformation to create a more sustainable world?🌳 If you are up to challenge your creativity and make an impact, we are excited to welcome you! Schneider Digital is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by giving support globally to our internal teams and our clients. Schneider Digital consists of 6 Digital Hubs worldwide which are strategically located to ensure a 24/7 support across the company (France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain). Our Digital Hub in Barcelona is formed by +450 employees working in strategic projects and different roles such as Data, Cybersecurity, ERP, Cloud, Infrastructures, IT Project Management or Digital Marketing. As part of the Intelligent Edge – Edge System Management team, the Technical Lead defines and steers the technical foundations of the platform, with AI as a central and cross-cutting driver of this evolution. The role ensures AI solutions are adopted, used and developed in close collaboration with engineering, the Intelligent Edge Architecture team, testing and Product Management, to deliver a coherent, scalable and future-proof Edge System Management capability within the Schneider Electric ecosystem. This position combines hands-on technical leadership — building, deploying and driving adoption of AI tools and workflows — with change management and team support, while contributing selectively to forward-looking "anticipation" topics directly relevant to Edge System Management. What will you do? 1. AI Leader Define, maintain and evolve AI-powered tools, workflows and solutions serving every ESM user profile (developers, testers, product, support). Drive adoption by supporting teams in using, customizing and improving these tools, gathering feedback to iterate. Champion AI best practices: responsible usage, cybersecurity/data constraints, quality and reliability guardrails. Guarantee compatibility, extensibility and clean integration of AI capabilities within the ESM architecture and roadmap. Represent ESM in cross-organizational AI community (AI Hub, EcoOS, other IE teams), aligning strategy and sharing/reusing solutions. 2. Technical Leadership Develop a deep understanding of teams' workflows, tools, architecture and the IoT product context to integrate AI solutions coherently into the existing ESM ecosystem. Own the technical vision for how AI fits into ESM's overall architecture and roadmap, ensuring scalability, security and long-term maintainability. Arbitrate key technical decisions on AI adoption (build vs buy, tooling choices, technical debt vs innovation trade-offs). Act as technical escalation point, unblocking critical issues where AI intersects engineering, architecture, QA and Product. Ensure alignment between Intelligent Edge Architecture, Product Management and engineering on the AI-driven technical vision, driving change management and upskilling. 3. Collaboration & Communication Produce and maintain clear documentation and guidelines for AI tools, workflows and solutions, making them accessible to all ESM users. Communicate AI initiatives, results and rationale (POCs, tools, roadmap) to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to the ESM roadmap definition with Product Management by clarifying AI dependencies, enablers and business impacts. What qualifications will make you successful? 8+ years in software engineering, including experience in architecture or technical leadership Proven track record designing and delivering distributed platforms (edge + cloud + devices) Hands-on experience building and operating scalable systems Experience working across engineering, product, and AI/ML teams Exposure to edge/IoT or complex system integrations Skills Strong expertise in distributed systems and scalable architecture Experience designing AI-enabled platforms: Data pipelines (ingestion → processing → inference) Model deployment and lifecycle (edge + cloud) API integration with AI services Proficiency with Kubernetes and at least one cloud platform (e.g., Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services) Solid understanding of edge computing and device management Experience integrating AI/data pipelines into platforms Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and observability Ability to lead technical decisions and communicate architecture clearly At Schneider, we believe that every employee is a talent who deserves equal opportunities.
