2nd shift: 2:30p-11p M-F with daily and weekend overtime as needed GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision performs various assembly, building, and production activities where work is with hand tools to assemble basic and complex electrical units. This position may also build and assemble large frames for motor control centers as well as packout finished units/structures for shipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Wires starter buckets, soft starts and drives. Builds and assembles starter units, drives, Gate 700s and Gate 800s. Packs finished units for shipment. Reading of the bill of material Transport shipping split to work area by crane of dollies Understand the torque vales of each assembly Build and install parts according to the assemble required Uses pallet jack to retrieve necessary items to perform job duties as necessary. Comprehensive understanding of cabling, diagrams, drawings, and unit specs Accurately test and troubleshoot unit prior to sending to QC for final inspection Participate in general housekeeping (5S) duties within work area Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on area equipment as needed Cross-train and rotate through various stations within department as needed to provide additional support Conduct on-the-job training for newly hired and/or transferred employees Report material and equipment problems to appropriate personnel Participate in meetings to resolve production issues and interface with other shifts and support groups as needed Other duties as assigned Abilities: General knowledge of manufacturing and hand tools (preferred, but not required) Education: High School Diploma or GED required Experience: Entry-level position. No experience required Physical Requirements: Must be able to safely lift up to 22 lbs. regularly throughout shift. Prolonged period(s) of standing is required for duration of shift. For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is $18.95 to $28.45 per hour. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials, depending on location. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
